The Asiatic Society of Japan

T.I.H. Prince and Princess Takamado, Patrons

member of the Science Council of Japan

This is the official Web site of The Asiatic Society of Japan. The Society, founded in 1872, holds monthly lectures in English on topics related to Japan or other countries in East Asia. Please feel free to join us. Non-members are encouraged to make a donation 1,000 yen per lecture, but are always welcome to apply for membership.

Lectures are normally held 6:30 to 7:30 pm monthly on Mondays except for July and August. The Society currently does not have a regular lecture site so please carefully note the lecture location for each month's lecture.

Click a year for information about lectures, councilors, or annual reports.
