Dr. Raffaele A. Roncalli
Dr. Raffaele A. Roncalli, a scientist with a solid background in history
and Ukiyo-e, will present the results of a special project that explores
the history and iconography of the Imperial Palace, or Edo Castle as it
was, in the heart of Tokyo. During the past four years, while on a research
assignment in Tokyo, he has pursued this study, gathering materials from
many sources and in many genres.
Dr. Roncalli is a past President of the Ukiyo-e Society of America and of
the American Veterinary History Society. In 1983 he organized the first
Hiroshige Exhibition in New York.
